Tommy F Awuy

Tommy F. Awuy is an Indonesian artist and scholar who taught philosophy and art at Universitas Indonesia and Institut Kesenian Jakarta (IKJ) from 1989 to 2018. He has been painting since childhood and, together with Amalia Ahmad, founded Philo Art Space in Kemang, Jakarta in 2005, followed by PhiS ArtSpace in Bali in 2025, where he is also active as a curator. To date, he has held three solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group shows.

In recent years, he has taken part in various exhibitions, including Mutual Perspective in Ubud, NFT Bali Annual Exhibition, Longing for Peace in Solo, ARISE in Jakarta, and international watercolour exhibitions in Bali. His recent participation also includes PRO-GRESS (2025), CONFLUENCE (2025), Reveals of the Soul at Universitas Indonesia, and Liana Reverie: Vivid Colours in Bali (2025–2026). Since 2020, he has been based in Bali, where he continues to develop his artistic practice.
